As most of our readers and guests are aware Sabie River Bush Lodge is against Rhino Poaching. Together with Latest Sightings Kruger ( have committed to joining the fight against Rhino Poaching. Our twitter and facebook pages went abuzz with a follower of Latest Sightings Kruger (@latestsightings) when the follower tweeted a picture of a Rhino who had been dehorned but still alive in the Southern Region of the Kruger Park (between Paul Kruger Gate and Phabeni Gates). This not only shocked us at Sabie River Bush Lodge, but also the creator of Latest Sightings Kruger, Nadav.

It is with a heavy heart that we tell you all that the Rhino was located by the rangers of the Kruger National Park this morning. THIS incident has raised the Sabie River Bush Lodge's staff & Managements wishes to PLEA to not only our local travellers but our foreign guests as well to join the fight against Rhino Poaching. These animals are not only majestic and beautiful, they are apart of our Big 5 - and if we do not STOP Rhino Poaching the Rhino population will suffer and decrease drastically in numbers in the near future!
